Human Rights should be recognised worldwide, in every country, region and cultural communities – for every human being has rights – children, men, women or a transgender, a dalit or an adivasi, a peasant or a civil services officer.
Towards ensuring rights we need to make a balanced growth approach to development as the inroads of capital to our ‘undeveloped’ regions has given rise to various forms of human rights violations with people being displaced, their voice against such acts being repressed, they being accused of instigating violence and acting as anti-State elements.
